So John, I’m curious, how do Vegans get their B12, an absolutely essential vitamin that makes our red blood cells? Are you so certain that people can bet their lives on a supplement that you’re here, on a public forum, (are you a doctor, perchance?) telling the world that they should not EVER eat animal protein, eggs or cheese? Just checking, because the last time I looked at my Yoga Sutras, Ahimsa spoke about non-harming whenever possible, and I believe that should also apply to our bodies. Why must we speak of going polar, when most of us could do well to simply do better—to eat less animal products, go organic and be as humane as possible while still respecting our own health and well being? Of course, this requires, as the Buddha taught, that we take the middle path. But I guess it’s more exciting to claim polarity as one’s mantle of choice…with a capital V.
