i’ve just spent some time in the animal liberation/welfare tags.
animal liberationists are actively preventing an increase in animal welfare because they want to abolish the use of animals by human. . it’s their stated goal. leaving aside the unmitigated ecological disaster that that would be the question is ; who are THEY to decide ?
they turn people of altogether with their crazy and persuade those who do care to engage in unrealistic goals that cause more animals more pain . 
for their own ego driven narcissistic delusions.
even in my most extreme vegan days i would not have looked at suffering animals and said ” there’s no point improving their lives  , we must abolish slavery altogether, improving welfare hampers the revolution ”

animals have no voice ,and you’re usurping their lives and pain  to give your own a sense of meaning.
