“The vegan diet is the one that hasn’t proved itself over the long term. It hasn’t been around that long . And it requires supplemental B12. You want to choose that for yourself, fine. But labeling another diet that also relies on whole foods and does not require supplements unhealthy is—well, not only not cool, but not scientific.””

Veganism has been around for an extremely long time, and there are many people in their 70s and 80s who have been vegan for decades.

B12 comes from the dirt. That’s how it’s found in meat. We only need a little amount of B12 to avoid a deficiency. There are many vegan foods that are fortified with added B12, and if you don’t fancy the numerous alternative milks and nutritional health foods, then simply eating vegetables like potatoes (the ones covered in dirt) with their skins on will provide you the B12 you need.

Many people who eat animal products have deficiencies. Many vegans do not. It’s not about whether or not you eat meat, dairy and eggs. It’s about whether you eat enough of the right foods containing the right vitamins - fruit, vegetables, nuts, legumes etc. Meat also causes high cholesterol  which can lead to heart attacks and strokes. That, however, has failed to be mentioned.

And lastly, just to top it all off, I would love to know how you classify drinking the milk or the menstruation of another species “scientific” and “cool”.

Veganism has been around for an extremely long time

you mean like millions of years or less than a century ? those old vegans, how old were they when they became vegans ?

B12 comes from the dirt. That’s how it’s found in meat.

vit b is made in ruminant’s digestive system. it get’s into the soil through their poop. by all means go for that .

Meat also causes high cholesterol  which can lead to heart attacks and strokes.

no actual scientific evidence for that at all, the china study has been debunked as has fork over knives .

it’s not my comment by the way. there is a link for a reason but don’t fret , you’re not the first and/or only vegan who has failed to realise that i post comments by other people from another website and that they link not only to the comment but to what the comment is a reply to ,the answer to that comment [ though with the hupo one never knows if it works properly ]  and indeed a whole entire thread of comments on  an article of some sort.

as for rape ; most animals having sex is not a pretty sight. but cows and sheep and goats and other animals do have their raging hormones and they will do it however unpleasant it looks to us.

have you ever watched dogs ?
